Ryan Breedon

Ryan is the founder and principal of Breedon Litigation. Called to the Bar in 2004, Ryan practiced at the country’s leading litigation boutique for over a decade before deciding to leave and start his own firm. Ryan is a true litigator, having taken all sorts of cases to trial, including medical malpractice trials, real estate, construction liens, mining claims, commercial contracts, fraud, estate disputes, sexual assaults, car accidents, slip and falls, landlord and tenant disputes, wrongful dismissals and defamation.  He has acted for and against a wide range of professions, including doctors, engineers, lawyers, pharmacists, investment advisors, psychologists and nurses.

A little more about Ryan.

Ryan and his wife Wendy grew up in Alliston, Ontario. They have four wonderful children between the ages of 13 and 26. In 2015, they decided to move to Barrie to be closer to their families.

Ryan has been recognized by a variety of organizations as a leading trial and appellate lawyer. He teaches trial advocacy at Osgoode Hall Law School and regularly speaks and writes on a wide range of legal issues.

Marketology Media Inc. v. DGA North American Inc., 2023 ONSC 4417

Commercial litigation case where the defendant made non-arm’s length transfers with the intent to be creditor-proof. Ryan represented the successful plaintiff at trial.

B. v. P. (Confidential Settlement)

Motor vehicle accident, resulting in the plaintiff suffering from a serious spinal fracture. Ryan acted for the plaintiff. Case settled for $825,000.

P. v. X. et al. (Confidential Settlement)

Medical negligence case involving a blind plaintiff whose diagnosis of right sided necrotizing external ear canal infection was delayed, leaving the plaintiff with permanent functional impairments that were exacerbated by his pre-existing blindness.  Ryan acted for the plaintiff. Case settled for $3.75 Million.
