Congratulations to Karolina Iron and Alexander DeParde, who represented Osgoode Hall Law School at the 2018 OTLA Cup in Ottawa this weekend.
The OTLA Cup is a moot organized each year by the Ontario Trial Lawyers’ Association. Students from law schools throughout Ontario compete in a mock trial before a real judge. Unlike many moots, the OTLA Cup focuses on trial advocacy, rather than appellate advocacy.
This year Osgoode was successful in winning the OTLA Cup. In addition, Karolina won Best Cross-examination, and Alex won Best Closing. All of the awards were well-deserved.
Ngai On Young and I coached the Osgoode team this year.
